Colleen Marea Quinn, Esq. owns the Quinn Law Centers—recognized in the “Best Law Firms in America” (U.S. News, 2023–2025). A graduate of William & Mary (BA 1985) and UVA Law (JD 1988), she clerked for Virginia Supreme Court Chief Justice Harry L. Carrico (1988-89) and then began private practice in adoption, surrogacy, guardianship, estate planning, personal injury, and employment law. She is licensed in all Virginia state and federal courts.
A nationally recognized leader in family formation law, Quinn has served as President and on the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) and President of the Virginia Law Foundation (2024). Quinn has numerous honors, including an “AV” Martindale-Hubbell rating, 2025 Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame, “Best Lawyers in America” (2015–2025), 2019 Influential Women in the Law and multiple Super Lawyers and Legal Elite recognitions. She is a Virginia Law Foundation Fellow, has served on numerous boards (YWCA, United Way, Girl Scouts, Virginia Family Law Coalition, Boyd-Graves Conference and more), has over 500 presentations and publications in the area of family formation and LGBTQ rights, is a lifetime Girl Scout, and enjoys scuba diving, cycling, tennis, and teaching aerobics.
