Denise Seidelman, Esq., is the co-founder and owner of Rumbold & Seidelman, PLLC, where she practices exclusively in adoption and reproductive law. She co-founded the firm with Nina Rumbold after serving as a trial attorney in the Criminal Defense Division of the New York City Legal Aid and as an Administrative Law Judge in New York City.
Denise is a nationally recognized leader in adoption and assisted reproduction law. She is a longtime member of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA), serving on its Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2020, and is also a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Family Law Institute of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. She serves on the Emeritus Board of Family Equality.
Denise earned her degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Washington College of Law and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a frequent lecturer on adoption and reproductive law and played a key role in drafting and advocating for New York’s Child-Parent Security Act, modernizing parentage law for families formed through third-party reproduction.
