Attorney Leslie Lightholder has practiced exclusively in assisted reproductive law since 2006. She earned her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1998 and her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2001. Leslie began her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Massachusetts Juvenile and Probate & Family Courts and as an Assistant Clerk in the Connecticut Superior Court.

Licensed in Massachusetts and Connecticut, Leslie represents intended parents and surrogates in drafting and negotiating gestational and genetic surrogacy agreements. She regularly secures Pre-Birth Parentage Orders and co-parent adoptions in both states. Her work includes assisting international clients and collaborating with foreign attorneys to establish legal parentage in the U.S. and abroad. She also has extensive experience helping clients navigate insurance coverage for surrogate pregnancies.

Leslie contributed to the 2018 edition of Adoption and Reproductive Technology Law in Massachusetts (MCLE) and served as a consultant on the Connecticut Parentage Act, enacted in 2022.
