Lila Newberry Bradley is a named partner at Claiborne|Fox|Bradley|Goldman LLC, where she represents clients building families through adoption and assisted reproduction. She believes all people deserve the opportunity to create a family.

Previously, Lila served as director of the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s Children’s Law Programs, coordinating pro bono legal representation for children in foster care or high-conflict custody cases. She authored Family Preservation in Georgia: A Legal Guide to Preventing Unnecessary Removal to State Custody and served as a visiting scholar with Emory University’s Barton Child Law and Policy Clinic, training attorneys on family preservation law. She continues to provide training to foster parents on protecting children’s rights through the legal process.

Lila also assists families with estate planning and LGBT family agreements, including healthcare directives, financial powers of attorney, domestic partnership agreements, post-adoption contact agreements, and standby guardianships. Her background as a business lawyer enhances her ability to prepare contracts and legal instruments securing a family’s interests.

She earned a B.A. in Literature from the University of Georgia in 1982 and is a member of the Georgia Bar. Lila is a Fellow of the Georgia Council of Adoption Lawyers and active with the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children and the National Association of Counsel for Children.

Outside of work, Lila and her family are active in Druid Hills United Methodist Church, and she enjoys camping and paddling.
