Ryan is an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) attorney whose practice is deeply informed by his personal four-year infertility journey with his wife. Having been an intended father and a party to a gestational surrogacy arrangement, he brings unique insight, empathy, and understanding to clients navigating the emotional, practical, and legal challenges of family building.
Ryan focuses on third-party reproduction, representing intended parents, gestational surrogates, egg and sperm donors, and others using assisted reproduction techniques. After starting his career in tax law, he shifted to ART law to support families and raise awareness for the infertility community. He is committed to advancing access to reproductive technology and advocating for the rights of all parties involved.
Ryan earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Ohio University. He is a professional member of RESOLVE, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ryan lives in Chicago with his wife and son, born via gestational surrogacy. His personal experience drives his mission to guide families through ART, honor the selfless contributions of surrogates and donors, and champion the possibilities of modern family building.
