Georgia
Sherriann Hicks is an adoption attorney who has been helping place children in loving adoptive families since 1995. She believes adoption is a gift for everyone involved: children gain a nurturing home, adoptive parents have the opportunity to raise a child, and birth parents find peace of mind. Sherriann provides expert legal guidance while offering emotional support, and clients describe her as trusting, caring, and accessible.
She is a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) and a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association, where she also served as President. She is admitted to practice in Georgia, including the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Sherriann earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1995, where she served on the Moot Court Board and Student Government Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Political Science from David Lipscomb University.
Beyond her practice, Sherriann supports legal education by coaching the Greater Atlanta Christian School Mock Trial Team and serving as an evaluator for competitions. She resides in Suwanee, Georgia, with her family, where she continues to combine professional excellence with a passion for helping children and families thrive.
