Amy Wallas Fox has devoted her legal career to adoption and assisted reproductive technologies law. She began her practice in 2007 working with Ruth Claiborne and now serves as managing partner of Claiborne|Fox|Bradley|Goldman’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. Licensed in both North Carolina and Georgia, Amy brings extensive experience in adoption matters, including direct placements, agency finalizations, birth parent representation, stepparent and relative adoptions, and interstate adoptions.

Amy is the firm’s expert on the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) and has successfully guided dozens of families through cross-state adoptions. She also specializes in complex assisted reproductive technology cases, including surrogacy and egg, sperm, and embryo donation. Amy helped develop the firm’s surrogacy matching program, Southern Surrogacy, where she serves as Executive Director.

A Charlotte native, Amy earned her bachelor’s degree from Guilford College with majors in philosophy and international studies and a minor in Japanese, including a semester of study near Osaka, Japan. She received a Graduate Research Fellowship at the College of William & Mary Marshall Wythe School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2007.
