Chrissy Hanisco is the founder of Life Stages Law, PLLC, a virtual boutique firm focused on adoption, assisted reproduction, and estate planning for young families. A graduate of New York Law School (2000), she is licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Formerly a public defender, Chrissy transitioned to private practice after her own infertility diagnosis and built a family formation law practice at The Stein Law Firm before founding her own in 2024.

Chrissy has played a key role in shaping New Hampshire law, including the passage of fertility insurance coverage in 2019 and updates to the state’s adoption and parentage laws in 2020. She continues to advocate for inclusive, equity-driven legal reforms.

She serves on the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Board of Governors, is a past Vice President of AllPaths Family Building, and has led peer support groups for donor conception. Chrissy is also a long-standing member of the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy, serving as Grievance Committee Chair from 2017–2024.

Named a New England Super Lawyer and Best Lawyer in 2024 and 2025, Chrissy presents regularly on adoption and reproductive law. She lives in Concord, NH with her family, including twin sons and their beloved dog, Maisie.
