Heather Ross

Illinois

Heather Ross is a founding partner of Ross & Zuckerman LLP, where she combines personal experience with infertility, transactional expertise, and litigation skills to advocate for individuals and families navigating assisted reproductive technology (ART). Before launching the firm in 2005, Heather worked at Legal Aid Chicago, representing low-income women in family law and juvenile matters, and in private practice drafting complex financial transactions.

Driven by her commitment to reproductive justice, Heather has represented thousands of clients in matters involving egg, sperm, and embryo donation, gestational surrogacy, parentage orders, and adoption. She is a frequent lecturer and author on ART law and ethics, speaking at institutions including ASRM, AAAA, ABA, Family Equality Council, and Northwestern University.

Heather is also active in public service and is serving her second term as a Village Trustee in Northbrook, Illinois, where she advocates for affordable housing, sustainability, and community inclusion.

With a foundation in legal aid, a background in contract law, and a personal connection to her clients’ journeys, Heather brings empathy, precision, and dedication to every case.
