Nidhi is a private practice attorney specializing in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and adoption law. She serves as the Director of ART Policy and a Board member for the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) and sits on the board of the Chicago Coalition for Family Building. She is also part of the legal advisory group for Men Having Babies and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, honoring her commitment to legal excellence.

Nidhi has played a key role in shaping ART policy, helping draft and pass significant Illinois legislation including the 2005 Gestational Surrogacy Act, 2015 Parentage Act updates, and the 2025 Equality for All Families Act. She has contributed to the Illinois State Bar Association’s Genetics and Human Reproduction Task Force and advised the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on embryo donation policy.

Formerly on the executive council of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology and Chair of ASRM’s Legal Professionals, Nidhi co-coordinates educational seminars on collaborative reproduction. She authored the surrogacy chapter for the Illinois Adoption Law Handbook and regularly speaks at national conferences. A Washington University and Loyola University Chicago graduate, Nidhi helps clients worldwide build legally secure families.
