Rachel Wexler

Rachel joined Trachman Law Center, LLC in 2020 to guide clients through family building while protecting reproductive and parental rights. She represents individuals and couples of all backgrounds and sexual orientations in surrogacy and egg, sperm, and embryo donation, as well as providing estate planning, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and embryo disposition services.

Previously, Rachel practiced family law in New York City and clerked for the Honorable Marc Brown in the New Jersey Superior Court. She earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her law degree from the University of Michigan. She is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Colorado.

Rachel is active in the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee, the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, the National LGBTQ+ Bar, ASRM, RESOLVE, SEEDS, and the Jewish Lawyers Guild. She frequently collaborates with clinics and organizations such as Shady Grove Fertility, Kindbody, and the Jewish Fertility Foundation to promote awareness of family-building options.

Her scholarship includes the 2018 article in the Tulane Journal of Law and Sexuality, analyzing how Obergefell reshaped legal assumptions about parenthood for non-biological parents. Rachel lives in New York City with her spouse and daughter and enjoys attending Broadway shows.
