Rich Vaughn is the founder of International Fertility Law Group (IFLG), a leading global firm specializing in assisted reproductive technology (ART) law. Combining over 20 years of experience in business and technology law with his personal journey to parenthood via egg donation and surrogacy, Rich has helped thousands of intended parents worldwide build families.

Rich studied reproductive and fertility law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and began his legal career providing litigation, contract, and corporate services in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is immediate past chair of the ABA Family Law Section Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology, a founder of the Cambridge University International Surrogacy Symposium, and an active member of ASRM’s Legal Professionals Group, the California Bar Association, and the National LGBT Bar Association.

A frequent speaker and published author, Rich has contributed to journals including the American Bar Association SciTech Lawyer, International Family Law Journal, and American Journal of Fertility Law, and has been cited as an ART law expert by The Washington Post, CNN, and NPR.

Rich is a passionate advocate for LGBT equality, serves on several nonprofit boards, and volunteers in the medical and wellness communities. He lives in California with his spouse, Tommy Woelfel, and their twin sons, Aiden and Austin.
